Setup & Plugin
How long does setup take?
Under 15 minutes. Install the WordPress plugin on any site, generate an API key in your MantleWP dashboard, and paste it into the plugin settings. Data starts flowing immediately.
Does the plugin slow down my WordPress sites?
No. The plugin has zero frontend footprint—no JavaScript, CSS, or HTTP requests on public pages. Data collection runs server-side via WordPress Cron only, in the background.
What PHP and WordPress versions are required?
PHP 8.0 or higher and WordPress 6.0 or higher. The plugin is optimized for modern stacks.
Can I use MantleWP with ManageWP or MainWP?
Absolutely. MantleWP complements those tools. Use ManageWP or MainWP for site management; use MantleWP for automated, client-facing reporting. No conflicts.
Data & Security
What data does MantleWP collect?
Only technical metadata: WordPress version, PHP version, plugin inventory, SSL status, database size, uptime, and performance metrics. We never collect user content, customer data, form submissions, WooCommerce orders, email addresses, or admin passwords.
Is my data encrypted?
Yes. All communication between your site and MantleWP uses HTTPS/TLS encryption. API keys are stored encrypted at rest. Database runs on isolated infrastructure with daily encrypted backups.
Is MantleWP GDPR compliant?
Yes. We process only technical metadata about your WordPress installations—no personal data from site visitors. See our <Link href='/legal/privacy'>Privacy Policy</Link> for full details.
Where is my data stored?
Your data is stored on DigitalOcean infrastructure in the SFO3 (San Francisco) region. Daily encrypted backups are retained with multi-tier retention policies.
Reports
Can I customize what's in the reports?
Reports include all sections by default: health score, uptime, plugin status, performance metrics, and an AI-powered executive summary. You can customize branding (logo, colors) on all plans.
What format are reports?
PDF, optimized for email delivery and printing. A4 layout, works in both color and grayscale. Branded with your agency name and colors.
Can I send reports to multiple clients?
Yes. Send to up to 50 recipients per report generation. Customize the recipient list each time or set up recurring scheduled sends.
Billing & Plans
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Monthly plans cancel at the end of your billing period with no penalty. Annual plans are refundable pro-rata within 30 days of purchase.
What happens if I exceed my site limit?
You can't add new sites to your account once you've hit the limit. Existing sites continue working normally. Upgrade your plan to add more.
Is there a free plan?
Yes. Three sites, monthly reports, and health checks. No credit card required. Perfect for testing or small agencies.
